“Keeping the Dream Alive”
WELCOME MESSAGE FROM THE POLEMARCH

Welcome to the web site of the Bowie/Mitchellville (MD) Alumni Chapter (BMAC) of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated and the host chapter of the 2012 Eastern Province Council Meeting.

It is indeed my honor to serve as the 4th Polemarch of this wonderful chapter where we continue to serve as a beacon of community service to the citizens of Prince George’s County since we were chartered on October 4, 2003. The brothers of BMAC have been a visible force in the Bowie and Mitchellville communities providing programs that serve the youth, the elderly, and those less fortunate members of our society. Just a few of the numerous community service programs initiated by BMAC includes: The Power to End Stroke Walk-a-Thon, Adopt-a-Highway (near Bowie High School), Annual Thanksgiving and Christmas donations of turkeys and toys to the Sexual Assault Center at Prince George’s County Hospital and the Mission of Love Charities, Mentoring and tutoring young “at risk” minority males in our Kappa League and A-MAN programs, financial contributions totaling in excess of $10,000 to St. Jude Cancer Research Hospital and continuous mentoring and financial support provided to our collegiate brothers at Epsilon Sigma Chapter, Bowie State University.

I think you can see from the above programs that BMAC is a chapter on-the-move and ”Keeping the Dream Alive” of our Kappa founders. We take great pride in providing service to our brothers and sisters who live and work in Prince George’s County, Maryland.

Thank you for taking the time to view our web site and I invite you to our chapter meetings and events in order to learn more about the brothers of BMAC.

Yours in the Bond,

P. Lee Harvey
4th Chapter Polemarch
